In 2013 for their 13th production together writer/producer Tony Laumberg and director Richard Cotter thumb their noses at superstition and give a high five to hilarity by presenting yet another madcap laughfest with more twists and turns than a box of pretzels.
What’s it about?
The life of prominent, conservative CBD lawyer, Henry Crowley, goes into a tailspin when his wife announces that she has arranged for an Iranian refugee, fresh off the boat from Indonesia, to stay in their tranquil St Ives home indefinitely pending the outcome of his asylum application. Good lord!
If that isn’t enough Henry’s deadbeat but persistent cousin from Brisbane arrives proclaiming his ‘foolproof’ system to turn $10,000 into a million in one night at the roulette table. All he needs is $10,000. And all this at a time when a nosy journalist from a national newspaper is doing a feature article on poor Henry. Will his precious reputation remain intact?
