BACK
BY PUBLIC DEMAND!
After sell-out performances during August 2002 at the TAP Gallery,
a new production of the riotous comedy, Unsolicited Male,
began at the Edge Theatre, Newtown in April 2003. It's written by
Tony Laumberg and directed by Richard Cotter.
What's
it about?
William
is a young lawyer employed by a large city law firm. In order to
snare a promotion to the firm's London office, he invites the senior
partner and his wife over for dinner with him and his overly ambitious
wife, Helen.
However, only minutes before the guests are to arrive, William's
scruffy and outspoken father, Morris, turns up with a suitcase.
He claims he's leaving William's mother forever and wants to spend
the night there. Helen is desperate to get her father-in-law to
leave, knowing he'll ruin the evening. He is determined to stay
and maybe get his son to take over the family shoe business. How
will the evening end?
